Lightning on the Horizon

The environment where I live is open, wild, brutal, calming, violent, yet strangely beautiful. On any given day from the bluffs near my home I can see hundreds of miles off into the distance. During seasons of inclement weather, the distant clouds build, and I watch with interest the shapes and colors in the sky. Looking at the building storm can be a diviner of sorts. I can see the fury and beauty of lightning and the intensity of the strikes.
